Getting to Know Your 2015-2016 Milwaukee Bucks

Coming off an exciting and surprising 41-41 season last year, the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping the new campaign is another step toward consistent winning for a long time. With a young, talented core ideally playing together for years to come, many fans are pumped up about it.

So in order to grow with the team and really understand pieces to this puzzle, it's important to know the ins and outs of the players much like Packers and Brewers fans do.

Below you'll find information regarding each of the 15 players on the active roster. Some insight is based on how they've played in the pros, college or high school, and other info focuses on their personal side.

1. His favorite athletes as a kid included Ken Griffey, Jr. and Randy Moss. Last year he had the 11th-best three-point field goal percentage in the NBA and he was tied for 17th in steals with 122.

2. This player was named as a McDonald's, Jordan, USA Today and Parade All-American as a high school senior. His favorite food is chicken Alfredo.

3. With 135 blocks last season, he finished 5th in the NBA in blocks per game and 9th in total swats. He also owned the highest field goal percentage for the Bucks in the 2014-15 season.

4. This 28-year-old was the first Venezuelan-born player ever to be drafted in the NBA. He also attended high school with Oklahoma City Thunder star, Kevin Durant.

5. Of all the Bucks on the roster, he has the most career points with 7,253. Back in the 2008-09 season he finished 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting to the Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose.

6. Two of his uncles played college basketball in Wisconsin. One of them played at UW-Eau Claire and the other at UW-Oshkosh. If this player weren't in the NBA, he would have pursued a career in engineering.

7. When this player received a new car for winning Rookie of the Year, he donated it to the Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation (FCF). Last season, he led the Bucks in assists (5.6) and steals (2.0) per game.

8. Originally from Cayenne in French Guiana, he grew up playing with INSEP, a French training institute attended by NBA star Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.

9. This player is a self-proclaimed animal lover (including snakes and iguanas) who would be working with animals if he wasn't a basketball player. He was the 2nd-youngest player in his draft and is currently the youngest member of the Bucks.

10. He fled to Houston with his mom and sister as his hometown was hit by Hurricane Katrina in high school. Upon returning he put a new roof on his family's house and helped rebuild his high school. He was 10th in the NBA in rebounds per game (10.2) last year.

11. He was the 2011-12 Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year, though he was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada - a suburb of Toronto.

12. This player finished 10th in the NBA in total defensive rebounds (442) last season. He also was called for the 2nd-most fouls (254). As a kid, he sold watches, toys and anything he could to help feed his family.

13. Milwaukee is his 3rd different NBA team despite it being just his 4th season. He has also played for teams in Spain, Germany and Belgium, and owns a Bachelor's degree in psychology.

14. In college, he was named ACC Rookie of the Week a record 10 times and was the first Duke freshman to lead the team in both scoring and rebounding. His father was drafted by Golden State in 1976 and played 6 NBA seasons.

15. He led the Bucks last season in free throw percentage (minimum 10 attempts), shooting 88.3%. Scored at the buzzer to give the Bucks their first playoff win last year.
