All-Time Favorite Brewers Bracket - The Winner Is...
After weeks of voting and finally finding the time to tally your Championship Game selections, we have a winner in the 2016 All-Time Favorite Brewers Bracket. Joining Robin Yount and Paul Molitor at the top of the Milwaukee Brewers' list of most popular players, the champion is...
Gorman Thomas
It was a hard-fought battle to the end with Jeff Cirillo consistently chipping away at Thomas' early lead. While some questioned the popularity of Cirillo, he clearly belonged in the discussion and nearly took the crown.
Instead, Stormin' Gorman powered his way through the field, fending off a variety of challenging candidates before ultimately putting his stamp on this inaugural bracket. Thomas defeated Cirillo with 54% of the vote in the Championship, a solid victory over a fellow top seed.
With his win, Thomas will be enshrined in the Milwaukee Brewers Fan Favorite Hall of Fame and be bronzed with a statue all his own. Of course, we're still waiting on the Molitor statue to be put up in front of Miller Park, but we'll address in an article later this year.
Anyway, congratulations to Gorman Thomas for winning this prestigious tournament...and a huge thank you to everyone who voted throughout the process. We hope you enjoyed the competition and the chance to take some trips down memory lane!
